If you want to explore Madrid, at the travel interchange station you will find the metro, buses and local trains to all parts of the city, making it easy to get around the capital. And just 15 minutes walk away you also have other popular tourist spots like the Puerta del Sol, the Plaza Mayor and Gran Vía, one of Madrid’s main thoroughfares. There’s a whole host of things to do and see around Hotel Acta Madfor!

To enjoy the area around the hotel even more, at reception you can hire Dutch-style bicycles.

The spectacular Campo del Moro is within a stone’s throw of Hotel Acta Madfor. On the doorstep of the Palacio Real, it occupies over 20 hectares and is another major attraction on the east side of Madrid.

Other green areas near the Hotel Acta Madfor include the smaller Sabatini Gardens and Parque del Oeste. The latter is one of the most beautiful parks in Madrid and a favourite with the locals. In the south of the park is the Temple of Debod, a gift from Egypt in gratitude for Spain’s help in transporting this heritage that would otherwise have been flooded by the Aswan Dam.

A cable car connects the Parque del Oeste with Madrid’s extensive green area: the Casa de Campo. This huge park offers many interesting features, such as a theme park, lake, zoo, the Puente de la Culebra, etc. The Casa de Campo is one of the most popular spots among Madrid’s residents for taking a stroll and enjoying their time off.

Just across the street is the Príncipe Pío Shopping Centre and the Príncipe Pío travel interchange. The Príncipe Pío Shopping Centre is open all year round, except on the 1st and 6th of January. It houses a wide variety of shops, restaurants and cinemas.
